It was one of the coldest days of the year, or so it seemed....The kids purchased a couple of snowmobiles and had taken them out for a run. When they returned, Yuriy walked in with something under his coat, all tucked under his arm...we realized it was a goose with a broken wing. Right now the 'goose' is an addition to our chicken family of seven, and one self righteous rooster. Later we looked in our Audubon bird guidebook and realized we now have a SNOW goose! We'll keep him housed with the chickens 'till spring, where he seems quite content, and by then perhaps his wing will heal and he can go wherever he wants...or...he'll be a nice addition to our pond come the thaw...just another day on the farm....till next time, bye y'all!
